Following an official invitation from the Association of Gambian Students in Turkiye (AGAST), a delegation from the Executive Office of Africa Without Borders (AWB), led by Mr. Muhammed Abdalla Khazin, External Affairs Officer, went to Konya to participate in the Congress of the said association, organized on January 31 to February 2. This presence is part of the strengthening of institutional relations between AWB and African student associations active in Türkiye. The delegation took part in the official opening speech of the event. During this intervention, formal thanks were sent to the Gambian Students Association for its invitation and for the quality of the organization. The delegation presented in a structured manner the founding mission of AWB, its pan-African vision, as well as its medium and long-term strategic orientations. Current projects and cooperation prospects were also presented to the participants. The intervention also highlighted the significant contribution of Gambian members within AWB since its creation. Their commitment, both in terms of active participation and in the exercise of administrative and managerial responsibilities, was highlighted as a decisive contribution to the organizational development and institutional consolidation of the Union. For his part, the President of the Gambian Students' Association, Mr. Alieu Jobe, expressed his satisfaction with the participation of AWB in this program. He praised the quality of the relations established between the two structures and reserved a formal welcome for the delegation. On this occasion, he conveyed his respectful greetings to the Management of AWB and reaffirmed his desire to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations in a spirit of solidarity and pan-African collaboration.
