As part of its participation in the Congress of the Association of Gambian Students in Turkiye (AGAST), organized in Konya, Africa Without Borders (AWB) held an institutional meeting with the Afrokonya Union on the sidelines of the official program. This particularly constructive meeting allowed the managers of the two organizations to strengthen their mutual knowledge and to discuss in depth their respective objectives as well as their medium and long-term strategic visions. The discussions focused on local associative dynamics, the engagement of African communities and the prospects for interorganizational cooperation. At the end of the discussions, the two parties agreed to organize a new meeting at a later date in order to examine more concretely the opportunities for collaboration and to consider the establishment of a structured partnership framework. The President of the Afrokonya Union, Muhammed Bari, expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the dialogue established and expressed his thanks to the AWB delegation. The two organizations reaffirmed their common desire to consolidate this institutional dialogue and indicated that they were looking forward to the next meeting planned in the coming weeks.
