In accordance with the provisions of its founding statute, the organization Africa Without Borders (AWB) holds its General Assembly each year, which constitutes an essential institutional framework for the presentation and evaluation of the activities carried out by the outgoing Board of Directors, as well as for the submission of the annual financial report. The 3rd AWB General Assembly opened with a welcome breakfast, promoting a friendly atmosphere and a space for discussion to strengthen cohesion between members. At the end of the inaugural speech, the Vice-President of AWB, Dr. Souandaou Athoumani Ali, addressed the participants. Subsequently, the activity report of the Board of Directors was presented in detail by the Secretary General, Mohammed Khazin, while the financial report was submitted to the Assembly by the Treasurer General, Baye Gora Seck. Before the opening of the electoral process, the statutory revisions prepared by the 2024 Board of Directors, integrating essential provisions relating to the founding principles of the movement, were put to the vote and adopted by the General Assembly. The electoral procedure was led by Mr. Yusuf Mogoya, President of the Independent Elections Committee. The committee was introduced to the members, and the voting arrangements — including the rules, criteria and procedures — were presented with clarity and transparency. The presidential candidates had ten minutes to present their visions and projects, while the candidates for other positions had five minutes to present their motivations and programs. The vote took place in a calm, orderly climate and fully complied with the principles of transparency and impartiality. After the vote, the ballots were counted publicly, ensuring full respect for the democratic procedure.
