Meeting beyond the Horizon: Africa

On November 18, 2025, Africa Without Borders participated as a partner organization in the program “Meetings Beyond the Horizon: Africa”, organized at Istanbul University of Commerce by the Young Thought Club (Genç Düşünce) and the International Students Club. As part of the program, the future of Turkey–Africa relations, the changing socio-economic structure of Africa, multidimensional diplomatic cooperation beyond trade, humanitarian aid activities, economic relations and new opportunities offered by emerging African economies for Turkey were examined in detail. In addition, Turkey's trade relations with the African continent, investment opportunities, joint projects and proposals to further strengthen cooperation between the two regions were comprehensively evaluated. Among the program speakers were the former rector of the University of Dakar, Prof. Dr. Ahmadou Aly Mbaye, AKEM researcher Dr. Adem Aman Shibu, as well as Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kavas, former Turkish ambassador to Chad and Senegal and teacher at the Istanbul Commerce University; these experts presented important analyzes on Türkiye–Africa relations from their own perspectives.
