AWB Participates in Istanbul Medeniyet University Cultural Day

Africa Without Borders represented Africa during the International Culture Day organized by the International Students Club. Students from different continents and countries presented their cultures through tastings, dances, songs and various performances, transforming the event into a lively and multicultural atmosphere. As AWB, we have established a vast exhibition space dedicated to Africa to reflect the cultural richness and diversity of the continent. The exhibition presented traditional objects from different regions of Africa, handicrafts, symbolic objects, maps and cultural motifs. Participants thus had the opportunity to discover more closely the historical heritage and cultural diversity of the continent. One ​​of the highlights of the event was the parade organized by AWB. Traditional outfits from several African countries were presented on stage, revealing the colors, patterns and aesthetic diversity of the continent. The parade offered a powerful showcase of African cultural heritage and received a wide and enthusiastic response from the public. In addition, traditional dance performances, representing the rhythms and movements typical of different regions, were presented. Figures from Senegal to Ethiopia, Sudan to South Africa visually illustrated the theme of unity in African diversity. The program was further enriched with the staging of the poems “Une Femme Africaine” and “Mama Africa”. These recitations highlighted the identity, beauty, resilience and cultural depth of Africa, eliciting loud applause from the audience. The cultural contributions presented by AWB during this event brought significant value to the promotion of the plural identity of the African continent and strengthened intercultural exchanges between students.
