AWB meets Ethiopian Ambassador in Ankara

Africa Without Borders (AWB) took part in the Ethiopian New Year celebrations as well as the official ceremony marking the inauguration of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). On the sidelines of this event, high-level bilateral talks were held with H.E. Adam Mohamed, Ambassador of Ethiopia, and H.E. Afeworks Shimelsi, Senior Ambassador for Political Affairs and Public Relations. These discussions made it possible to comprehensively present AWB's vision, mission, areas of action and long-term objectives. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to establish lasting and regular institutional relations with African diplomatic representations. S.E. Adam Mohamed welcomed the AWB initiative with great satisfaction, emphasizing the inestimable value of the leadership role that African youth assume through such structures. For his part, H.E. Afeworks Shimelsi expressed his full support for AWB's unifying vision aimed at bringing together youth. Affirming that "Africa's time has come", he drew attention to the determining role of young people in the continent's development process. He also recommended the development of joint projects aimed at strengthening the integration of African students in Türkiye within AWB activities.
