Africa Without Borders participated in the program organized by the Ethiopian Students Union in Istanbul on the occasion of the 131st anniversary of the Adwa Victory.

Africa Without Borders participated in the program organized by the Ethiopian Students' Union in Istanbul on the occasion of the 131st anniversary of the Adwa Victory. The event aimed to promote an in-depth understanding of the history, culture and enduring significance of the Battle of Adwa in Ethiopian and African memory. The ceremony opened with a series of academic lectures dedicated to the Battle of Adwa and Ethiopia's fight against colonial ambitions. Participants were able to explore in detail the historical context of the conflict, the strategic resistance led by Ethiopia and the impact of this victory on African identity and anti-colonial thought. The event also featured a poetic recitation highlighting Ethiopian culture and the spirit of the Adwa Victory. Through poems celebrating oral tradition and cultural memory, participants enjoyed an experience that was historical, social and artistic. Another highlight was the traditional demonstration of preparation and tasting of Ethiopian coffee. Guests were able to directly observe the coffee ritual, enriching their understanding of Ethiopia's cultural and gastronomic heritage. As a whole, the program provided a memorable and enriching experience, highlighting both the historical significance of the Adwa Victory and the richness of Ethiopia's cultural heritage through a variety of carefully designed activities.
