AWB at the 7th Al Sharq Youth Conference

Africa Without Borders (AWB) participated in the 7th Al Sharq International Youth Conference held in Istanbul on October 20, 2023. This year's theme, "Breaking Barriers", highlighted the vision of young people to build a more inclusive, equitable and effective future by overcoming social barriers, cultural and political in the world. With around 1500 participants, this international conference offered AWB the opportunity to open a special stand to present our association and make our activities known to a wide audience. Productive discussions took place with young leaders, academics, civil society representatives and international guests who visited our stand, on current issues facing African youth, our projects and goals. This interaction has strengthened the solidarity between African students and the links we have established with international networks. Al Sharq Youth, the conference organizer, is a global community of young people working for a more just, inclusive and transformative world. AWB's participation in this event made the voice of African youth more visible on international platforms; it contributed to the exchange of ideas, opportunities for cooperation and strengthening our links with global youth movements.
