Africa Without Borders participated in Niger Republic Day, celebrated on December 28, 2024, and organized by the Association of Nigerien Students in Turkey. This commemorative day marks the anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Niger, which took place on December 18, 1958, a major historical step in the process that led to the total independence of the country, proclaimed on August 3, 1960. The celebration was an opportunity to highlight resistance to colonialism as well as the cultural wealth of Niger, through traditional, artistic and symbolic representations reflecting the history, identity and values of the Nigerien people. Africa Without Borders took part in this event in the spirit of pan-African solidarity, cultural sharing and strengthening ties between African communities. This participation is fully in line with AWB's mission, which aims to promote African unity, historical memory and the cultural diversity of the continent, while honoring the founding moments of African nations.
