Africa Without Borders participated in the program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the independence of the Comoros, organized on July 7, 2025 at the TÜGVA center by the Union of Comorian Students and Trainees in Türkiye. This meeting provided a privileged space to highlight the history of the Comoros, their independence process and the evolution of their political structure. A detailed conference was presented, tracing the transformations of the Comorian political system from the pre-independence period to contemporary dynamics, thus allowing participants to better understand the historical and institutional journey of the country. The program was enriched by traditional songs, cultural parades and dance performances, offering participants the opportunity to experience the artistic and cultural heritage of the Comoros up close. These moments gave the activity a festive dimension while reinforcing the visibility of the country's rich cultural heritage. Africa Without Borders also contributed to the event through a panel on the role of youth in the development of a country. The discussions highlighted the strategic importance of African youth in the processes of social transformation, their entrepreneurial potential, their capacity to participate in the dynamics of collective progress and their determining role in building the future of the continent. This intervention served as a reminder that youth constitute an essential lever for the stability, innovation and prosperity of African nations. As a whole, this activity made a significant contribution to the promotion of Comorian cultural heritage and underlined the importance of youth in regional and continental development approaches.
