AWB 2025 Training Workshop Series

The AWB Training Workshop Series organized from October 25 to November 9, 2025 was designed as a comprehensive academic program consisting of four sessions and aimed at supporting the social and community intellectual development of young Africans. The first workshop entitled A Pan-Africanist Journey was led by Moussa Hissein Moussa. This session explored Pan-Africanist thought beyond the strictly historical perspective and addressed essential questions such as how to understand Pan-Africanism, Pan-African identity and the process by which a person can become a Pan-Africanist. Participants also studied in detail the Pan-African congresses, major conferences as well as the intellectual currents linking the Americas to the African continent This session took place on October 25, 2025 at the African Business Center The second workshop entitled Discovering Artificial Intelligence was presented by software engineer Ibrahim Khalil Atteib and computer science specialist Moustapha Aminou Toukour. The speakers explained the profound transformations caused by artificial intelligence in Africa and around the world and conveyed to participants essential concepts such as machine learning, deep learning, the value of data and the risks linked to algorithmic bias. In the practical part a workflow N8Nio was developed to automatically collect African news at regular intervals. This workshop was held at the AKEM Africa Research and Coordination Center The third workshop entitled Understanding International Affairs addressed the fundamental theories of international relations including realism, liberalism and dependency theory as well as various critical approaches. An in-depth analysis of regional organizations such as the African Union, ECOWAS, Arab Maghreb Union and SADC was conducted
